Blizzard Storm 3 North West Neasden C 2

Blizzard Storm won Group D with a 100 per cent record after strikes from Stefan Simons, another screamer from Joe Stolerman and Dean Shaw got them over the line against Neasden C.

The Blizzard boys stormed out of the blocks to lead 3-0 at the interval.

Neasden improved in the second half with super-sub player-manager Louis Taylor and Elliot Setyon reducing the deficit but it was Blizzard who took home the points, although there was still reason for NWN cheer after it was confirmed they will also progress as runners-up on goal difference ahead of Bilbaum.

Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "I couldn't have asked more from the three group games. Wwe have maximum points and are on a run of nine games without defeat.

"We had a few big players missing but stepped up to grab an impressive win."

NWN player-manager Louis Taylor told JC Sport: "We went into the game with a makeshift defensive line and it showed as we were 3-0 down at half time.

"We started the fightback in the second half but it was an unusually inept performance from us at times today.

"But I feel with all of our squad back from next week, things can only get better!"
