Ben Haim joins Toronto

articlemain

QPR defender Tal Ben Haim has joined MLS outfit Toronto FC.

The Israeli was signed by Harry Redknapp on a short-term contract in January and will be a free agent at the end of a season that has seen Rangers relegated to the Championship.

The move sees Ben Haim link up with Ryan Nelsen, the Toronto manager, who left Rangers earlier in the season.

Ben Haim, 31, made six appearances for QPR and is set to leave England after nine years. He joined Bolton in 2004 from Maccabi Tel Aviv and has played for Chelsea, Manchester City, Sunderland, Portsmouth and West Ham.
