Belmont & Edgware's 93-run defeat

articlemain

Belmont & Edgware went down to a 93-run defeat against LCR in a friendly at Parmiters.

BECC bowled well early on with Warren Averbuch dismissing the opening batsmen. LCR pushed on with their innings and were 85-2 at the drinks interval.

LCR's other opener and middle order batsmen steadied the innings with both passing the fifty mark. Some very good bowling late on from Josh Green and Rafi Levin, who picked up three wickets apiece, enabled Belmont to polish off the tail as the visitors finished on 273-8 from their allotted 40 overs.

Belmont set about chasing the set target through Jonny Evans and Stuart Davis. The pair pushed the score past three figures and were 115-3 at the 20-over mark.

Some controlled bowling by LCR and ultimately a very difficult target to chase led to Belmont losing the game by 93 runs.
