Barnsley pull out of Assulin loan move

articlemain

Barnsley have pulled out of a deal to sign Gai Assulin on loan.

The Israeli had agreed to join the Tykes until January 3 but manager Keith Hill decided to back down. due to concerns over the Manchester City midfielder’s fitness.

Hill told the club’s official website: "On advice from the medical staff at Man City, it's just a deal that we can't do.

"Common sense has prevailed. It's something we wanted to do, but we're not going to force through a signing when the player's not 100 per cent fit."
