Back to basics for Sela

articlemain

Dudi Sela will be forced to qualify for this year's Wimbledon Championships.

Ranked 94 in the world, the Israeli will not gain automatic entrance as he was ranked 147 last month when the entry criteria for the event were decided. Sela, 26, will look to recapture the form which saw him reach the fourth round at Wimbledon two years ago and rise to a career high ranking of 29.

He returned to the top 100 in May, winning back-to-back Challenger titles in South Korea and Uzbekistan.

Sela was scheduled to play in the Nottingham Challenger this week where he is the second seed.

Shahar Peer has slipped to 22 in the world rankings after her first-round exit at the French Open.
