Ashram wins three medals at World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships

Linoy Ashram, 19, has emerged as a strong Olympic medal hope after winning three medals in the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Bulgaria.

The 19 year-old Israeli won a silver medal in the individual all-round final – an event that will feature in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

She added to her tally by collecting a silver medal in the hoops event and bronze in the ribbons event.

Ashram said: “I’m not really thinking about an Olympic medal at this stage. I’m concentrating on getting the highest number of points in each performance.

"I still haven’t fully taken in that I won the silver medal in the all-round event.”
