2012 Paralympics: Day 7 round-up

Day 7 was a memorable one for Israel who claimed three more medals, with tennis stars Gershony and Shraga Weinber, road cyclist Kobi Leon and rifleman Doron Shaziri reserving their place on the podium.

ROAD CYCLING
Kobi Leon took silver in the Men’s Individual H1 Time Trial at Brands Hatch.

Pascale Bercovitch came home in sixth position in the Women's Individual H4 Time Trial.

WHEELCHAIR TENNIS
Noam Gershony and Shraga Weinberg beat Shota Kawano and Mitsuteru Moroishi of Japan 6-3, 6-1 in the Quad Doubles Bronze medal playoff match at Eton Manor today.

Weinberg, 46, had a memorable day in the Singles competition yesterday, when he knocked out 2008 Olympic champion Peter Norfolk to book his place in the semi-finals.

SHOOTING
Doron Shaziri took silver in the Rifle R7-50m 3 Position SH1 at the Royal Barracks Artillery.

SWIMMING
Iad Josef Shlabi came third in his heat of the Men's 50m Backstroke S2 in 1:08:37 at the Aquatics Centre.

SAILING
Dror Cohen, Amnon Efrati and Benny Vexsler finished race 10 in seventh overall in the Three Person Keelboat in Weymouth.

Hagar Zehavi and Shimon Ben Yaacov placed sixth in race 10 of the Two Person Keelboat.
