Israel claimed two more medals on Saturday, with swimmers Inbal Pezaro and Itzhak Mamistvalov coming up trumps at the Aquatics Centre.

SWIMMING
Inbal Pezaro secured her second bronze of the Games with a scintillating performance in the 200m freestyle. This followed her third place finish in the 50m freestyle final on Thursday.

Pezaro said: "I'm delighted to win a second medal but disappointed with my performance."

There was also success for Itzhak Mamistvalov who took bronze in the Men's 200m Freestyle.

Mamistvalov was one of two Israelis in the final and he touched home just in front of Josef Shlabo in 4:58.53.

This was his fourth Paralympic medal following a gold and two silver at the 2004 Games in Athens.

He said: "I'm very happy to have won another medal. It means a lot to me."

Pezaro and Mamistvalov both have two events left with high hopes for more medals for Israel.

Pezaro competes in the 100m breaststroke on Tuesday followed by 100m freestyle on Friday.

Mamistvalov returns to the pool on Monday in the 100m freestyle competition, with the 50m freestyle to follow on Thursday.

After crossing the line in 5:44.78, she will be looking to secure a fourth Israeli medal in the race on Sunday.

Olga Sokolov and Reuven Magnagey failed to qualify for the Mixed Doubles Sculls team after finishing fourth in the Repechage in a time of 4:20.20.
