Team MGB will contest the Junior and Masters competitions, with Samantha Diamond managing the group.

She said: “We are delighted with the squad. All the individuals taking part are looking forward to participating in their first Maccabiah and to establishing themselves as part of the future of the Maccabi GB Golf Team.

“All of the golfers have represented their home clubs, and now have the opportunity to test themselves on this International stage – a challenge to further develop their talents.”

Ben Brownson will manage the Junior team. He said: “Our aims are to continue to build on the success of the MGB Golf in Berlin, as we have a real chance of returning home with a team medal, as a minimum.

“There is no pressure on the team to perform – we know they are good golfers and will make a team of which we can all be proud.

“It is a real honour and privilege to represent Maccabi GB at an international event. I am very much looking forward to watching the boys stepping out on to the first tee, the nerves kicking in as they did for me at my first Maccabiah Games in 2009; the whole experience of being a part of the Games is one they'll never forget.”

SQUAD: Junior - Zack Balcombe, Logan Deyong, Josh Forshaw, Joe Harris, Jacob Sharer, Edward Vandermolen. Junior Manager - Ben Brownson

Masters: Robert Hickinbotham
