Gastwirth reads riot act after latest Reich debacle

Michael Gastwirth read the riot act to his Reich players after their latest horror show at Haroldeans.

    HAROLDEANS 6 REICH 1

Reich were hit were six by the league leaders, with Adam Shiffman bagging a hat-trick in a game which saw both sides reduced to 10 men in the first half.

But it was the manner of the heavy defeat which incensed director of football Gastwirth as he pulled no punches in his withering assessment.

He said: "There were too many individual, schoolboy errors and that cost us silly goals once again. That's something we need to eradicate from our game.

"The sending off of Rafi Klyne certainly didn't help our cause. And  even though we had chances to get ourselves back into the game, we were just not clinical enough.

"Haroldeans are a good side and dealt with the loss of Paul Harris better than we dealt with losing Rafi Klyne as they had experienced players to bring into the game."

Harris and Klyne saw red midway through the first-half after an altercation.

The score was 1-1 at the time with Dovi Klyne cancelling out Harris' opener.

But the floodgates opened up after the break with Shiffman bagging his treble with Taylor Moss and Eden Harris also netting.

The champions look in ominous form but Haroldeans boss Mike Bloomberg believes there is still more to come from his in-form side.

Bloomberg said: "I'm pleased with the result, if not the performance. We were sloppy in parts, although with just three goals conceded in the five games, that's a great statistic. It's something we can be proud of.

"And it reflects well on our back four and our 16-year-old goalkeeper Jared Clein."
