Maccabi Masters review: December 4

Division Two leaders EHRS Stonegrove produced another convincing performance when they comfortably beat second placed St Johns Wood Tiger 7-1.

Ashley Davidson led the way with a hat-trick, with a brace from Dean Schulberg and goals from Ian Leader and Adam Kern completing the rout.

Josh Bentley replied for the Tigers

Maccabi London Lions B eased into second place after scoring eight goals without replay against Temple Fortune.

Gideon Barnett fired a four-goal salvo, with further goals coming from Danny Schindler, Michael Abrahams, Arthur Duke and a David Kyte penalty.

The division is now shaping up as a fight for the title between EHRS and the Lions.

Marshside were, for the second week running, involved in a high-scoring draw where they equalised with the last action of the match.

The east Londoners trailed Brady Maccabi B four times following four superb long-range strikes by Scott Ansher but strikes from Darren Coon, Gill Barrel, Jason Rich and a last-gasp bullet header from Coon from a corner resulted in a 4-4 draw.

Marshside’s last two drawn matches have produced 20 goals.
