A goal in the first minute from Dan Levy was sufficient to give North London Raiders a win over Scrabble and take them three points clear at the top of the Division One table.

St John’s Wood Tigers missed out on the chance to go level with EHRS at the top of Division Two, as they could only salvage a point from an epic encounter with Brady B. Previously without a point from their first two games, Brady raced into a 4-1 half-time lead against the title challengers with goals from Scott Ansher (2), Malcolm Hershman and Kevin Lotzof.

But the Tigers roared back after the break and pulled it back to 4-4, with their goals coming from Ashley Marks, Ilan Cohen and John Perloff (2).

They were denied the win by some outstanding goalkeeping heroics from Brady’s Martin Schultz.

Vincent Goodman, Adam Lennard and Paul van Gelder earned Glenthorne a 3-2 win over Temple Fortune whose strikes came through Jeremy Fess and an own goal.
