HERTS CENTENARY TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL

LONDON LIONS 2 BEDMOND 0

Despite the opposition being in the Herts County League, they proved to be a decent test for the Lions, of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One, although patience was key as it took until late in the game for Lions to find the goals they needed.

The first one may be a little fortuitous from Arnold as his curling dead ball effort from wide on the left deceived everyone including the Bedmond ‘keeper.

Lions ended the game on a high with another goal late on from Mattey – turning in from close range after the returning Liron Mannie squared.

Lions now face Broxbourne Boro in the last four as they aim to make it three straight finals in this competition.

LIONS: David Myers, Adam Myeroff, Adam Harvey, Levi Levenfiche, Jamie Jackson, Sam Hamerton, Adam Arnold, Jake Furman, Jack Mattey, Lee Goldberg, Christian Edwards. Subs: Liron Mannie, Joe Beare

SCORERS: Arnold, Mattey
