HERTS CENTENARY TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL

LONDON LIONS 3 KNEBWORTH 0

Playing lower league opponents, Andy Landesberg shuffled his pack with injury and suspension also playing a part and welcomed back Adam Lipman and Tyler Smith to the starting XI.

It didn’t take long to take the lead when after five minutes Austin Lipman fired in a free-kick from a wide position which outfoxed the ‘keeper and nestled into the back of the net.

On the stroke of half-time it was that man Lipman again, who made it 2-0 with a trademark finish from 20 yards.

Lions came out and made it three early in the second half when Mitch Hahn scored from close-range, and that was enough to secure a three-goal win against their Herts County League opponents.

Lions now face the Ware Sports in the semi-final as the opportunity for a back-to-back Herts Centenary Trophy win is definitely on the radar.

LIONS: James Harpin, Adam Lipman, Adam Harvey, Adam Myeroff, Nick Landesberg, Jake Furman, Tyler Smith, Mitch Hahn, Austin Lipman, Max Kyte, Adam Burchell. Subs: Ben Goldberg, Jordan Marks

SCORERS: Austin Lipman 2, Hahn
