Jacobson, 31, scored from the penalty spot following a foul on Craig Mackail-Smith.

After making a slow start to the season, Wanderers lie in 17th position in the EFL Division One table and Jacobson admits he could not be happier with life.

He said: “I have never played for one club for so long and we have a great bunch of boys who all love playing for the team and that is really special.

“I haven’t been at a club when the gaffer and assistant make sure everyone is on track with each other and it is a great place to be.”
