Bellway’s Orion development has opened in Borehamwood, Herts - and you can live there for as little as £76 per week.

Orion has just over 100 contemporary one-bedroom apartments priced from £129,995 and two-bedroom apartments from £169,995.

A roof garden is planned, for use by all residents and many apartments have individual balconies. All apartments have allocated parking.

Orion is close to the centre of Borehamwood, in Maxwell Road and convenient for London commuters, as it is within easy reach both of the A1 and the mainline railway station with links from Elstree & Borehamwood to King’s Cross.

Bellway’s new marketing suite and show apartment give buyers a taste of what is to come when the site is completed.

Ian Sloan, the sales director, says: "People may find it surprising that, in the current economic climate, we are being bullish enough to open a brandnew development. But the truth is that good properties, in the right place and at the right price, are selling well. We are confident that with Orion we have all those criteria in place and look forward to welcoming potential buyers through the doors.

"By buying off-plan, buyers will have the pick of the crop and be able to choose the perfect apartment for their needs".

Bellway is taking a head-on approach to affordability with a home purchase scheme called Opening Doors. This offers the chance to buy a new home for 75 per cent of the current market value. The offer is available on selected homes at Orion - some of the one-bedroom properties, at current interest rates and if you clear the relevant credit hurdles, could cost as little as £76 per week.

Orion is due for completion in late summer 2009.
