Woman filmed ripping up Israel flag at memorial to Brussels terror victims

articlemain

A woman was filmed ripping apart an Israeli flag at a memorial event in Brussels yesterday.

Footage obtained by website LiveLeak shows the woman, who is wearing a hijab, tear up the Israeli flag at a site in Belgium where tributes and flowers had been laid in solidarity with victims of the bomb attacks this week.

The woman, who has not been named, is seen walking across the memorial site with a Palestinian flag.

She then appeared to pick up an Israeli flag laid on the pavement, shred the material with her hands and then hide the remains under the English flag of St George.

According to LiveLeak: “It seemed people witnessing it were unsure of what to do”.

On Tuesday, terror attacks carried out at Zaventem Airport and Maelbeek Metro station left 34 people dead and 250 injured – including one Israeli. Citizens from across 40 countries, including Britain, were affected by the attacks – for which Islamic terror group Daesh has claimed responsibility.
