Sudoku given Jewish makeover for iPad

Is Judoku the game for you?
Is Judoku the game for you?

Are you Jewish and looking for a new way to procrastinate? An iPad application developer may have just the product for you.

For just £1.49, you can now download the "Judoku" app, described as "Sudoku for Jews".

Rather than the numbers of the original addictive Japanese puzzle, Judoku involves a grid of Jewish symbols and Hebrew numbers.

Players must complete a line of symbols, ranging from menorahs to kiddush cups and Magen Davids.

The game comes in three difficulty levels and offers error checks, with top scorers referred to as "Jewdoku Mavens".

"Let's face it, when's the last time you found yourself saying "I just can't figure out if I should put a menorah or a Torah in that corner cell"," said developer Andrew Charon.

"C'mon, what do you have to lose?

"You might even learn a thing or two about Judaism (or at least as much as you could expect to learn from a Sudoku game. I mean, c'mon… we're not Moses)."
