articlemain

A man was arrested in Mecca after police discovered documents that unveiled his determination to find a Jewish bride.

Saudi Arabian police have suggested that the 49-year-old national, who was detained last Thursday, could have a “mental disorder”.

The unnamed man was arrested near the Grand Mosque in Mecca with documents showing that he had been seeking a Jewish wife, according to the report on Al-Hayat news.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Abdulmohsen Maiman told the Lebanese news source that the unnamed man had “five documents containing contradictory information showing the man's mental state and expressing his desire to marry a Jewish a woman.”

The man is still being detained by authorities. He will face prosecution on undisclosed charges and then see a “specialist physician”.
