Mossad director meets Turkish intelligence chief

The head of Israel’s secret service met Turkish officials in Ankara on Monday.

Mossad director Tamir Pardo had a meeting with Hakan Fidan of the Turkish intelligence agency.

According to sources, the two discussed the Iranian nuclear programme, threats from Syria and greater intelligence co-operation between Israel and Turkey, as well as the current protests in Turkey.

According to a report in the Hurriyet Daily News, Mr Pardo asked to meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan but did not receive a reply.
