Meet the happiest Jew in America

articlemain

America’s happiest Jew is not Oscar winner Natalie Portman or the newly elected Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel.

In fact, the happiest Jew in the United States isn’t anybody in the public eye – it’s a Chinese-American Jewish businessman from Hawaii.

Experts have announced that statistically speaking a 65-year-old called Alvin Wong should be happier than anyone else in the country.

According to Gallup researchers he belongs to the happiest demographics for job, marital status and height.

Mr Wong is a kosher synagogue-goer who runs a profitable health business and is married to a woman called Trudy Schandler Wong

Not only does he tick all the boxes for wellbeing, he lives in the “happiest” US state.

Mr Wong told the New York Times: “This is a practical joke, right?”

He also shared his “life philosophy”, telling the newspaper: “If you can't laugh at yourself, life is going to be pretty terrible for you.”
