A Jewish man had his finger sawn off during an attack by a group of Middle Eastern-looking men in a Parisian suburb on Tuesday, according to the National Bureau for Vigilance Against Antisemitism (BNVCA), a French hate watchdog.

The man and his brother were both wearing their kippot when their car was forced off the road on to a side street by another vehicle in Bondy, north-eastern Paris, the report said.

Some men emerged from a shisha café and pulled the men from their cars. They then allegedly kicked and punched them while threatening that they would be murdered if they retaliated.

According to the BNVCA, one of the alleged attackers, who was armed with a hacksaw, then sawed off the finger of one of the brothers.

Subsequent reports, however, suggested that the man's hand was mutilated but his finger was not completely cut off.

According to the BNVCA report, the driver and a passenger of the car that forced the vehicle of the brothers off the road had been shouting antisemitic slogans that included, “Dirty Jews, You’re going to die!”
