Israeli billionaire arrested for sons' wild party

An Israeli business tycoon has been arrested after his teenage sons held an alcohol-fuelled party at the family’s Florida mansion – and invited 500 underage guests.

Shlomi Rasabi and his wife Jeannie agreed to stay upstairs in their £4.6 million home while their 16 and 17 year-old sons hosted the event.

Police went to the property in the wealthy suburb of Boca Raton after receiving calls about noise disturbance. After they found a group of teenage girls vomiting outside, they raided the party and discovered that the boys’ parents were at home.

Four of the partygoers were so drunk they had to go to hospital.

Although it emerged that private security guards had been hired, Mr Rasabi, 59, told police he "didn’t even know all these kids were here”.

The millionaire, who made his money in the construction industry, told police that all the alcohol had been brought into the house.

He said: “It was never supposed to get this big, I was in my room the whole time.”

Mrs Rasabi, 43, added: “I was in my room the whole time because my son wanted me to stay there for the evening so he could have the party.

“Everyone brought their alcohol into the house.”

The Rasabis were charged with allowing minors to drink alcohol. Richard Guberman of the Boca Raton police department said: “'There were approximately 500 minors inside the residence all who appeared under the age of 21 with the majority of them holding alcoholic beverages in their hands.

“The resident did not provide any precautionary measures for people underage, for example, giving people who were under the age of 21 wristbands or stamps so they were not allowed to drink alcohol.”
