The Rolling Stones will play their first-ever concert in Israel on 10 June, according to a report on Israel Radio.

The Stones will appear at Ramat Gan Stadium for a single performance only as part of their "14 on Fire" world tour.

It is the largest fee ever offered to a music act to appear in the country.

The group, are due to start a 14 date tour in February, and already have shows booked in Abu Dhabi, Japan and Australia.

The band's bass player Darryl Jones visited Israel in December and performed with the Australian group Dead Daisies, at a sold-out show at the Barby Club in Tel Aviv.

Mick Taylor, a member of the Rolling Stones from 1969 to 1974, will be a special guest for the tour.
