Aronofsky tipped for George Clooney sci-fi film

articlemain

Acclaimed Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky could be teaming up with George Clooney for his next film.

Mr Aronofsky, 42, pulled out of directing X Men spin-off The Wolverine earlier this year because he was reluctant to be separated from his family during the lengthy shoot.

According to New York Magazine's Vulture blog, his next project will be a sci-fi film about a man who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up to a world where humans are pets of a superior species.

The script, tentatively titled Human Nature, was written in the late 1990s by screenwriter Jeff Welch.

In April Mr Aronofsky, who split up with his long-time partner Rachel Weisz last year, was named the head of the jury for this summer's Venice Film Festival.
