Burgas bomber 'photo' released by Bulgarian police

articlemain

An image of the alleged suicide-bomber who killed six people in Bulgaria a fortnight ago has been released by police investigating the attack.

The explosion left five Israeli holidaymakers and the Bulgarian bus driver dead, and shattered the calm of the Black Sea resort of Burgas.

Police have based the computer-generated image on the head of the bomber, who is being held in a morgue.

But they have already suggested that they suspect the man was part of a group of plotters.

Israel has blamed Iran and Hizbollah for the attack, emphasising that it followed the same pattern as attempted and successful attacks earlier this year in India, Thailand and Azerbaijan.
