Arrest warrant out for Iranians suspected in Delhi blast case

articlemain

Arrest warrants have been issued for three Iranian men suspected of involvement in the attack on Israeli diplomatic staff in Delhi last month.

The wife of an Israeli diplomat was seriously injured after a bomb was attached to an embassy car. Although India has not officially joined Israel in blaming Iran for masterminding the attack, a police official revealed that they are on the hunt for three Iranian men.

The whereabouts of Housan Afshar, Syed Ali Mehdi Sadr and Mohammed Reza Abolghasemi are unknown, but the Indian government is expected to ask Interpol for help finding and extraditing them.

Reports suggest that the trio entered India on tourist visas.

A freelance journalist based in Delhi, who contributed to the Iranian news agency IRNA, was arrested in connection with the blast earlier this month.
