'Am Yisroel Chai' woman attacked during anti-Israel protest

An American woman was assaulted and chased from a park after she wrote “Am Yisrael Chai” on a pavement during an anti-Israel demonstration.

Hannah Larson was kicked, threatened and called a “f***ing whore” during the incident in Oakland, California.

The 22-year-old and a friend were targeted after writing the slogan in chalk, and drawing a derogatory reference to Hamas.

The attack on the Jewish woman took place during a rally to mark the fourth anniversary of a local resident being injured while demonstrating against the Israeli military in the West Bank.

Ms Larson was not injured in the incident, and did not report the attack to police. She said she was "shocked" by the reaction of the protesters.

"I didn't understand why they would attack me. No one wanted to hear what I had to say. I've never experienced anything like it in my life. I was so taken aback and just hoped none of them had weapons," she said.
