Woman posted dog poo in lodger row

articlemain

A Golders Green woman has been convicted of harassment and assault on a police officer, after a sequence of events during which she sent dog excrement to a former lodger by post.

Yanina Heuberger, 53, was convicted of sending both an abusive email and a further offending letter to lawyer Lisa Hirsowitz following a small claims settlement over the lodger’s rental deposit.

Ms Hirsowitz received the envelope in her office at law firm Malleson Stephens Jaques, and finding it contained an unknown substance, contacted the police. An entire floor of the city law firm was evacuated while the police 's Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centre team investigated.

The next morning three officers from City of London police arrested Ms Heuberger in her home. During the course of the arrest she struggled and lashed out at DC Giles Cunningham, the London City Magistrates' court found.

Ms Heuberger, who attends Ner Yisroel Synagogue, was given a conditional discharge, a three-year restraining order preventing her from contacting Lisa Hirsowitz and was ordered to pay £400 in court costs.
