A third of British Jews have considered leaving the UK because of the rise in antisemitic hate crime, an online questionnaire suggests.

According to the questionnaire conducted by the Campaign Against Antisemitism, for which respondents were self-selecting, the vast majority – 83 per cent – also think the Labour Party’s stance on Israel has fuelled rising levels of discrimination. Islamic terrorism ranks as the greatest concern.

The latest Community Security Trust figures show a record increase in antisemitic incidents in the first half of 2017.

Two kosher restaurants in Manchester were burned down in June. A month earlier, a man brandishing a meat cleaver terrorised the Stamford Hill community.
