Three Jewish children assaulted on bus in Clapton Common

One victim was punched in the eye in what appears to be an antisemitic attack

Three Jewish children were attacked by a man on a 253 bus in Clapton Common in Shomrim described as an antisemitic attack.

CCTV footage of the incident posted by the London Shomrim show a man running for the bus at around 8.15am on Sunday, before slipping over by the back door.

He then gets up and walks onto the bus, where he can be seen attacking some Jews standing on the bus. Passengers then begin to exit the bus.

Later, one person recovers another's kippah from the bus.

Shomrim reported that all three victims' hats were thrown off, and one was punched in the eye.

The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident.
