Men charged after Judaica found at squat

articlemain

Eight men have been charged with four counts of burglary in connection with the thefts of Judaica items and other valuables from properties in Golders Green.

Barnet police discovered the men squatting in a house on the Ridgeway in Golders Green last week and arrested them.

The stash police found at the house included a grandfather clock, jewellery, cameras and laptop computers.

Several items of Judaica were also found, including a menorah and candlesticks.

Police are hoping to identify the owners of the stolen items, which you can see pictures of here.

Items of property are still waiting to be claimed, including laptop computers, silver, watches and jewellery.

A roadshow event to try and return items to their owners will be held next Wednesday from 10am until 2pm at 61 Golders Green Road.

Anyone who recognises items should contact Barnet Police and quote the crime reference number they were given when they first reported a theft.
