Sex trafficker arrested

articlemain

A 58-year-old Israeli living in Manchester was arrested on Monday at Ben Gurion airport on suspicion of trafficking humans to Britain.

Israel Police’s National Unit for International Crimes and Investigations said that Meir Mizrahi, originally of Beit Dagan, had been recruiting Israeli women through newspaper advertisements, and bringing them to work in a Manchester brothel — said to be based at a house Mizrahi owned in the city. His partner in the brothel, another Israeli, is suspected by the police to have been involved in the past in human trafficking, and is believed to be at large in Britain. Israeli police have asked Greater Manchester Police to help find him.

A third suspect, according to Israeli newspapers, is a cab driver from Lod who was also arrested by police after allegedly driving Mizrahi around the country free of charge during his visit last year.
