Ben Winston has won an Emmy Award for his work on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

The executive producer picked up the award after the show was named “Outstanding Interactive Programme” last night.

Mr Winston, a former North-West London Jewish Day School student who has been an executive producer on X Factor and helped make One Direction world-famous, tweeted that receiving the honour was an “absolute pinch yourself moment”.

The programme has attracted widespread praise for its Carpool Karaoke segment, in which host James Corden - himself a Tony Award winner - sings with guests such as Adele, Britney Spears and Michelle Obama.

Mr Corden tweeted his reaction to the show’s win, saying: “I’m on an aeroplane and this just happened! I'm so proud of these guys and our show! What a year!!!!!”
