Our Jewish identity art contest

articlemain

As part of our drive to encourage younger members of the community to take part in the wider Jewish identity project, we are delighted to be launching an art competition for primary schools.

Pupils should answer the same question: “What does being Jewish mean to you?”

You can create any kind of art — a drawing, a painting, a photo, even a sculpture. It is up to you to define what is art.

The contest will be judged by arts patron and gallery owner Anita Zabludowicz, together with Mark Cass of Cass Art and James Burke of Acrylicize.

Winning entries will be featured in the JC and copies will be included in the time capsule.

Prizes include an iPad mini and an art masterclass with a professional artist.
