Misha Nonoo, Meghan Markle’s Jewish best friend and shadchan to her and Prince Harry, wed energy entrepreneur Michael Hess this weekend.

A host of A-listers arrived in Rome earlier this week, ahead of the couple’s wedding in a Roman villa on Friday, which was reportedly followed by a reception at the Cinecittà film studios.

In attendance were the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, model Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Ivanka Trump, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Ms Nonoo, 33, is a New York-based fashion designer, known for her eponymous range of women’s ready-to-wear clothes.

She also arranged the first meeting between Prince Marry and Meghan Markle, and the Duchess of Sussex wore a Misha Nonoo shirt in her first public appearance with her future husband.

The pair also collaborated on the Duchess of Sussex's Smart Works capsule collection of women's workwear.

She was born in Bahrain to an English mother and Iraqi-Jewish father, and raised in London.

She was previously married to Alexander Gilkes, the British businessman behind Paddle8, an online auction house specialising in fine art and collectibles.

Her aunt is Houda Ezra Ebrahim Nonoo, the first female Bahraini ambassador to the United States and the first Jewish ambassador to any Arab country.

Mr Hess is an American oil tycoon, and heir to the Hess Corporation.
