Maureen Lipman has reiterated her anger at The Oldie magazine and its editor Richard Ingrams, after discovering its April issue featured a news story criticising Israel’s treatment of Eritrean and Sudanese immigrants.

Ms Lipman cut her ties with the magazine last week, saying she could no longer tolerate its “antisemitic, anti-Jewish, anti-Israel material”.

She has now described Mr Ingrams’s coverage of the country as the result of a “terrible vendetta”.
She added: “He is never going to stop. If he can find a way to vilify Israel, he will.”
