Leo Baeck's YouTube stars

Leo Baeck College has launched a YouTube video channel which will feature five videos of rabbis daily lives.

The videos feature five graduates of Leo Baeck College.

The Liberal Synagogue Elstree’s Rabbi Pete Tobias, West London Synagogue’s Rabbi Debbie Young Somers, Finchley Reform’s Rabbi Miriam Berger, Radlett and Bushey Reform’s Rabbi David Mitchell and student rabbi Sandra Kviat are shown in their daily duties and interviewed on the video.

The videos will show the young rabbis engaging in community work, education and interfaith activities.

The clips include Rabbi Tobias appearing on the Radio 2’s last Terry Wogan Show, Rabbi Berger playing hide and seek with a challah and Rabbi Mitchell teaching at chedar.

Rabbi Dr Michael Shire, Vice-Principal of Leo Baeck College hopes the videos might help those interested in a future career in the Rabbinate, but the videos are also intended for people with an interested in a Rabbi’s day-to-day life.

He said: “This is a fascinating window into the life of five exciting young rabbis all of whom contribute to enriching Jewish life and engaging with the wider world. They are an inspiration to young people and to all those considering entering the rabbinate.”

New videos will be posted every week at youtube.com/leobaeckcollege.
