Mohamed Jama Ahmed, 37, of North Circular Road, London, was found guilty at Wood Green Crown Court of two charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and one of stealing a car. He will be sentenced on November 27.

Charedi emergency service volunteer Zvi Hammond, 43, was sitting in his car at the time of the attack, in Golders Green on April 25.

He was stabbed twice and suffered life-threatening injuries, including a collapsed lung, but recovered and was in court to see Ahmed convicted.

A second unidentified Jewish man was attacked by Ahmed on the same evening.
