Kindertransport play makes debut

articlemain

The harrowing journey of 10,000 Jewish children, in a new musical work about the Kindertransport, was exclusively previewed to the Jewish community on Wednesday.

Last Train to Tomorrow, inspired by children sent from Nazi Germany to seek refuge in Britain, was performed in part by the Hallé Children’s Choir at Manchester’s Jewish Museum, following a personal account by Kindertransport refugee Ann Cohen.

The work, by TV, film and theatre composer, Carl Davis, has its official world premiere next month.
