Hate attack on Chasidic schoolboys

articlemain

Stones were thrown at Chasidic schoolboys and a window smashed in an antisemitic attack on their coach while on a trip to the seaside.

Kent Online reported that on Tuesday that the boys, aged between 10 and 14 from London, were attacked by seven teenage boys and girls who threw stones at their coach and shouted “go back to where you came from”.

The coach was attacked while in the town of Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey in northern Kent.

The report quoted an onlooker as saying: “They were saying '**** you - go back to where you came from'.”

"I couldn't believe some of the things they were saying."

Shortly afterwards the coach was pelted with eggs.

The director of the coach company said: "The people on the coach were pretty shaken up. In the future we will have to warn ethnic minorities about coming to Sheppey."

Kent Police have confirmed that they were called to a report of criminal damage just before 1.50pm on Tuesday, but could not confirm whether or not the crime has been deemed racially aggravated.
