Eastenders spot for actor Elliot Rosen

articlemain

A Jewish actor with Down's Syndrome has landed his dream role as a character in Eastenders.

Elliot Rosen, 32, will play Craig Moon, the son of antiques dealer, Eddie, played by singer and actor David Essex, (long-lost brother of hot-tempered businessman Michael), on the BBC soap.

He has had small roles previously in Holby City and Peak Practice and featured in a Channel 4 drama which questioned the ethics of allowing people with learning disabilities to have sexual relationships.

During an interview with the JC in 2007, Mr Rosen's father, Stuart, said: "He wants to have a regular part in Eastenders. It's his absolute favourite show."

A BBC spokeswoman said Mr Rosen would appear in a "few episodes" in September.
