Jonny Geller, CEO of literary agency Curtis Brown, has announced that his agency will take over the list of authors run by the late Ed Victor. The question of what would happen to Mr Victor's impressive list - which includes Frederick Forsyth, Douglas Adams, Nigella Lawson and David Cameron - is one which many in the literary world have been asking. Now Mr Geller has confirmed that Ed Victor Ltd is merging with Curtis Brown.

Carol Brown, Mr Victor's widow said that she was "very pleased" with the decision. "I discussed this eventuality with Ed and it was his advice to turn to Curtis Brown, the oldest and most highly respected of agencies and the one he had chosen for himself, when he wrote his own book," she added.

Mr Geller said that he was a "huge admirer" of Mr Victor.

He continued: "When it became clear that Carol and Ed Victor Ltd wanted a home for his wonderful authors, we were very honoured to be invited to offer. We are excited to work with the writers and artists who made Ed Victor Ltd such a huge success for the past 40 years. We may never replace Ed, but we will protect his legacy and provide the best possible service to these world class authors."

Mr Victor - who was awarded a CBE in 2016 - died on June 7.
