Borat and The Coen Brothers to star at this year's UK Jewish Film festival

articlemain

What do Borat, Charlie Chaplin, a tragic Argentine romance and a highly-charged Polish thriller all have in common?

They are all featured among the 70 movies being shown in London and across the UK at the 17th UK Jewish Film Festival.

Running from October 30 – 17 November, the festival will be screening a wide range of international films with diverse Jewish themes in cinemas in London, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester.

The programme includes everything from fantasy to documentary, silent films to dance, as well as appearances by international filmmakers including documentary maker Marc Isaacs, director Magnus Gertten and TV executive Lord Grade.

Highly anticipated titles include Blumental - a New York comedy starring Brian Cox- and the The Congress, director Ari Folman’s follow-up to the critically-acclaimed Waltz With Bashir and an official selection at this year's Cannes film festival. The Coen Brothers' black comedy A Serious Man will also be featured.

Tickets to the UKJFF are on sale at ukjewishfilm.org
