A 22-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with inciting racial hatred.

Joshua Bonehill-Paine appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday and was denied bail.

He is accused of writing a series of antisemitic blog posts on his website.

Mr Bonehill-Paine, of Yeovil, Somerset, denied one charge of inciting racial hatred.

His next court appearance will be at Southwark Crown Court on July 13.

He was arrested by officers from Avon and Somerset Police on Friday after an investigation run by the Metropolitan Police.

Mr Bonehill-Paine had previously claimed to be one of the organisers of the neo-Nazi rally planned to take place in Golders Green, north-west London, on Saturday, July 4.
