Boat owner wins place in Queen's Jubilee flotilla

articlemain

A Jewish boat owner from Harrow is celebrating after his vessel was chosen to be part of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

"Knot Arf", owned by Andrew Bernstein, will be one of 1,000 boats on the river on June 3 for a large-scale nautical celebration. More than 3,000 boat owners applied for a spot in the flotilla.

The boat will be crewed by Mr Bernstein's friends and family

Mr Bernstein, 46, who last year was Commodore of the Thames Motor Yacht Club at Hampton Court, said he was "delighted to have been selected to participate in this once in a lifetime privilege.

"It allows me to share the experience with good friends and family and hopefully be a part of this wonderful, memory creating event."
