Amy Winehouse slams dad for documentary

articlemain

Amy Winehouse is furious with her father Mitch Winehouse after he took part in a TV documentary about her drug abuse.

Mr Winehouse, 58, a former cab driver, appeared on documentary My Daughter Amy on Channel 4.

After watching the programme on Friday night, Ms Winehouse wrote on Twitter: “Why don't my Dad write a song when something bothers him instead of going on national TV? And you thought your parents were embarrassing."

During the documentary, Mr Winehouse claimed his daughter had been clean since 2008, but said he was worried about her relationship with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

He also claimed he was worried about his daughter’s new shopping addiction, and said she would blow thousands of pounds on expensive underwear.

He also proudly showed off her framed platinum discs, magazine covers and awards won by the troubled singer.
