A few years ago the Oscar winner said he didn't own a computer, now he's taking part in a live chat on his Facebook page - today.

Woody Allen is to brave new media and take part in a live Facebook chat to mark 40 years since the release of Annie Hall.

The controversial actor, writer and director will speak to Robert Weide - the director of Woody Allen: A Documentary  - via his own Facebook page, today at 2pm New York time, which is 7pm UK time. The official Annie Hall Facebook page has also put out a call for questions to be sent (via direct message) to them.

It seems an unusual move for the Oscar winner- who won a best picture, best screenplay and best director award for Annie Hall. Just a few years ago he told Deadline.com that he didn't own a computer and had "never seen anything online at all."
