Venturing into Wizo unknown

When Israeli Ambassador Mark Regev spoke at the Wizo.uk dinner in London on Monday, he said that he tried to "be serious, I actually went and did some reading today about Wizo".

And he learned something he hadn't known, he said. "I knew that Wizo goes back almost a century. That I knew. I didn't know that World Wizo was founded in this country and in fact British Wizo was the first Wizo."

But far from impressing his audience with his homework, the raised eyebrows and mutterings indicated disbelief that the envoy had not known this in the first place.
