Rabbi's son takes to stage

Jamie Romain, the son of two rabbis, has been offered his own pulpit, as a resident of the famous Ronnie Scott's jazz club in Soho, with his group A Band of Buriers.

The son of Rabbi Dr Jonathan Romain of Maidenhead Synagogue and Rabbi Sybil Sheridan of Wimbledon, Jamie was a leader of RSY Netzer and chair of Young Limmud.

His proud father describes him as "reaching out to a different audience through a unique style of folk music," but later admits "his music is not my thing, but he is becoming quite a hit."
